TYPE 01 - STREETCAR
You are looking at a piece of history repurposed for your wrist. This manually wound timepiece is made using 108 year old trolley track pried from the central streets of our hometown, Lethbridge, Alberta.
In 1912 the Lethbridge streetcar system was installed and ready for service in August. As the popularity and affordability of gas-powered buses around the city started prepping to pave over some of the tracks, but eventually decided to cover them all in 1939. The war delayed this project but eventually, after years of facilitating downtown transportation, the tracks were covered and forgotten. Recently, a city project unearthed these tracks and what had been buried for decades was revealed giving us a look into the past and physical pieces of memorabilia. We’ve used the live edge of these tracks as the dial of the timepiece and have crafted an equally high-character strap to match.
Every watch comes housed in a Canadian-made wood box and of course the craftsmen who make your watch are human, not machines, ensuring your timepiece is completely unique in finish. Because our watches are assembled and finished by hand, please allow for minor differences in colour and texture. We hope you love it as much as we loved making it.
Note: Every dial will have different characteristics and colouring. Although each will be unique and different, they’ll all be beautiful. We’ve been crafting some of the world’s most unique, award winning and storied timepieces since 2011. Since this watch is handmade and unique to you we can 100% guarantee your watch will be 1 of 1.
